I hope everyone has a blast this weekend! Happy 2012!!

The 3-0-5 pose is something silly my cosplay friends have been doing since Animazement, but after meeting so many inspiring cosplayers at Metro and talking about expanding the FunnyKnights group to make it more open to new members, I'm wondering why we didn't think about it sooner! ^____^

Odin Sphere rocked MetroCon 2010!

I was very happy to be part of an *amazing* Odin Sphere cosplay group at MetroCon. Many, many pictures will be coming soon~
I was also able to meet Kapalaka and her boyfriend who are awesome and super friendly! They had the awesome Gwendolyn and Oswald that won best in show and I'm definately inspired by them to do better in my costumes!

We would've spent the whole weekend wearing these costumes but since they were pretty painful to wear (Odette's headpiece and super corset and my harness for the wings) they were only wearable for a couple hours at a time before the weight was too much. So we didn't stay in the hallways for too long but did a couple photo shoots and entered a costume contest for the first time. I couldn't have walked around or been able to get ready without the help of my friends *especially* David who carried and inserted my wings as I walked to and from the con. I only noticed after a few hours that one of the wings was low though, should have checked that sooner. XD

Elfaria wings are (almost) done! I'll need to create a heavy duty harness cause these are heavy not to mention 6 feet tall. It's made out of styrene sheets with a cardboard center and metal rods for support which will attach to the harness. Having to find drying spots off the floor around the house for 8 giant sheets of spray painted styrene was a challenge. XD

I really like the material we found downtown and the way it shimmers in sunlight. It didn't photograph quite as nicely with indoor lighting but hopefully at the photo shoot it'll capture nicely.
